Art Gives Us Life
How does art make us alive?
When I write, in the moments of writing something, I feel most alive. Painting, singing, writing, or any other art, when we engage ourselves with it, we get a feeling of being alive. The making, the creating, the doing, the process itself enlightens our soul. When we make art for the sheer devotion of it, undefinable energy runs in our veins, a light gets illuminated in our hearts, and we come to life. Art gives us life. The final product, the effort that we put into the creation, that effort is what works inside ourselves to a sense of aliveness.
Life is not about eating and sleeping. It’s about the mark we leave behind us and the impact we create. Art is a great way to touch the lives of people and a way to be a more active participant in the mysteries and wonders of life. An artist lives multiple lives because of his/her creations. The creative expressions introduce us to new ways of living. Art expands our existence and broadens our outlook on life. When we make something, our work introduces new waves just like when we put a stone in water, the water shows waves.
Art is not a work, art is a way of living. It’s a choice of choosing curiosity, listening to the voice of the universe, and answering the voice of the heart by moving forward towards creativity. Our lives are limited, we are born and die. But when we participate in art, we experience infinity, the boundlessness, the freedom to express who we truly are. Our life becomes beautiful because of art. We innovate not just things but ourselves too with the help of art. Art opens the door to understanding life. And it makes our lives more greater than they ever were.
