How Do We Get Happiness?
Almost every one of us wants to be happy in our lives, and we often try to find happiness. And people often tell us: try to be happy or be happy always. But when we actually don’t know the actual human reason for happiness then it becomes really difficult to be happy. So the question is “from where happiness comes from?” that’s where Loretta Breuning matters. Loretta is a professor and founder of Inner Mammal Institute where she teaches people about the biological reasons that make us happy.
And I believe every one of us deserves to be happy in our lives, that’s why we all need to know about the reasons that are responsible for our happiness. If we will know about the biological reasons for our happiness then it will be easier for us to be happy. And then I hope we all can live a really happy and joyful life.
These are four hormones that make us feel happy:
1. Endorphins
2. Dopamine
3. Serotonin
4. Oxytocin
The feeling of happiness is due to these four hormones, so we need to know about these four hormones.
The first hormone is endorphins:
When we exercise, our body releases endorphins to relieve pain so we can enjoy exercise. In addition, when we watch comedy, we read jokes even when this hormone is produced in our bodies. So for this pleasure-producing hormone dose, we need to do at least 20 minutes of exercise daily and watch some jokes and comedy videos.
The second hormone is dopamine:
In the journey of life, we accomplish many small and large tasks; when we accomplish a task, our body releases dopamine. And it makes us happy. When feeling appreciated for our work in the office or at home, we feel successful and good at ourselves, this feeling is due to dopamine.
Whenever we buy a new mobile, car, new home, new clothes, or anything, dopamine is released from our bodies. And we are happy. Now, you must understand why we feel happy after shopping.
Third hormone serotonin:
When we do something for the benefit of others, serotonin is released from us and creates a sense of happiness. Providing useful information on the Internet, spreading good information to people, answering public queries on blogs, Quora, and Social media, or sharing our good ideas lead to serotonin and we feel happy.
The fourth hormone is oxytocin:
When we get closer to other human beings, it comes out of our bodies. When we shake hands or hug our friends, the body releases oxytocin. When we stuff someone in our arms, a toxin is emitted and a sense of well-being arises.
It’s so easy to be happy: We have to work every day to get endorphins. We have to complete the small tasks and get the Dopamine. And when we help others we get serotonin. And after all, hugging your kids, spending time with family, and meeting friends gives us oxytocin.
That is the way to happiness…
When we start to be happy, it becomes easier for us to deal with our problems and challenges.
