What do people mean when they say they can’t live without you?
Anyone who loves us really loves us never wants to leave us, never wants us to go away or leave them because they appreciate our presence so much and care about us, want to protect and stand with us. When a conflict happens or because of any other reason we plan to go away from the ones who are emotionally attached to us, we hear the sentence “I can’t be without you or I can't live without you.” Of course, this sentence can be a lie, but not everyone lies, and those who speak the truth, the ones who say this sentence from the heart, they use this sentence to tell us something.
“I can’t be without you” doesn’t mean they are gonna jump in the river for suicide after we go away. Yes, it is true that some people really do take their lives when someone close to them leaves them. But the ones who continue to live without us because they hope they can get us again, what they mean by saying I can’t be without you is that “From now on, I will only exist but not live, you are my soul and you are going away so I will not be able to breathe easily without you, I will have a life but not worth living, I will be dead inside, I will never be able to forget you, my eyes will look for you everywhere. I beg you, don’t go.”
The most important thing is to remember that not everyone is lying just like not everyone is speaking the truth. Of course, it happens that people say they can’t live without us but later we see that they are living with happiness and not even thinking about us because we were replaceable in their lives. But some people really mean it when they say “I can’t be without you.” Some really die from the inside, keep thinking about us, and keep hoping for us to not go away, for some we are not replaceable, for some we are the only. Some really care about our presence.
