You Worship Them
What does it mean to love someone?
If you can sacrifice your life to save theirs. If you can stand barefoot on the road in a heated summer because it’s a punishment from them. If you can walk a thousand miles literally by your foot on their invitation. If you can stay awake the whole night to listen to them. If you forgive them whenever you feel disappointed by them. If you cry when you talk to them because you want to see them in front of you. If you wish to hug them because you imagine it will comfort them.
If you want to meet them every day just to make sure they are okay. If you pray for their safety. If you worry about them. If you miss them more than anybody else in the world. If you believe they are the biggest gift of your life. If you never think of what benefit they can give you. If you think of ways you can help them. If you wish to transform yourself into who they are. If you want to keep them with you because you feel you can better care for them than anyone else in the world. If you don’t leave them even after thousands of conflicts and don’t choose anybody else.
If you often think of the pain life has given them and it melts your heart. If you believe the world needs them more than you. If, whenever you talk to them, you wish to talk more and more. If you never get tired of thinking of them. If you know you can literally kill yourself on their one order. If you feel, without them, the colors of your life will disappear. If you don’t and will never touch them without their consent. If you are emotionally attached to them and the thought of losing them makes it hard for you to breathe.
Then I promise you, I promise you that your love is true. And it’s not just love. You don’t just love them, you worship them. Never give up on them because they are in true manners your everything.
Now go tell them: YOU ARE MY EVERYTHING.
